🕒 Full-Time | Senior Leadership Position

Nexus People is currently hiring on behalf of one of our prestigious clients in the UAE for the position of Country Manager – Construction based in Abu Dhabi.

We are seeking a highly experienced and commercially driven Chinese National currently available in the UAE with strong local experience in the construction industry, particularly in project management, operations, business development, and strategic leadership.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing large-scale construction operations in the UAE and driving sustainable business growth while ensuring operational excellence and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee overall construction operations across the UAE
• Develop and execute strategic business plans aligned with company growth objectives
• Manage end-to-end construction operations including project execution, planning, procurement, commercial performance, and client management
• Drive business development initiatives and identify new project opportunities within the UAE market
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, developers, and government authorities
• Oversee project profitability, budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards
• Lead multidisciplinary teams including project managers, engineers, commercial teams, procurement, and site operations
• Monitor operational KPIs and implement performance improvement strategies
• Support tendering, contract negotiations, project mobilization, and strategic expansion initiatives
• Ensure compliance with UAE construction regulations, HSE standards, and company policies
• Represent the company in high-level meetings, negotiations, and industry events

 

Requirements

• Chinese National only
• Must be currently available inside UAE
• Minimum 10+ years of UAE experience within the construction industry
• Proven experience in a senior management or Country Manager role
• Strong understanding of UAE construction market, regulations, and project execution standards
• Demonstrated success in managing large-scale construction projects
• Strong business development and client relationship management experience
• Ability to manage multiple projects and large operational teams
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• UAE driving license preferred
• Immediate joiners will be given preference

 

Preferred Experience

• Experience handling commercial, residential, industrial, or infrastructure projects in UAE
• Existing network within Abu Dhabi and UAE construction sector
• Familiarity with FIDIC contracts, project controls, and construction management systems
• Fluency in Mandarin and English is mandatory; Arabic is an added advantage
